We have for the moment switched the podcast over to LibSyn, as it offers much better stat tracking and is the service of choice for many podcasters.

History enthusiast Steve Cox comes on the show to talk to Rick about (surprise!) history - mainly World War 1 and 2. We talk about why Hitler was the world's first hipster, why you don't fuck with Russia, how Switzerland takes "neutrality" to a whole other level, religious wars, and more.

"If you're wondering how Switzerland can remain famously neutral, there are several reasons, but let's start with this: The entire country is rigged to blow.
There are at least 3,000 points of demolition built into bridges, highways, and railroads throughout the nation. And those are just the ones acknowledged by the government. Some of those beautiful mountains are hollow enough to fit whole military divisions. There are cannons hidden in houses -- just waiting, just begging for the chance to kill someone. There are man-made rock slides waiting for the trigger. And all of these Wile E. Coyote traps weren't just set up and abandoned after World War II -- civil engineers undergo regular drills all the time. You know, just in case."
There are all kinds of really interesting h
Our guest bailed last minute so Rick and Adam decided to talk about personal responsibility, why it's bad to bubble wrap everything and coddle people, rules and laws (whether you agree with them and why), Toronto's crack smoking (#inadrunkenstupor) Mayor Rob Ford, discussing beliefs and politics, critical thinking (not letting emotion solely dictate your actions and decisions) and Adam realizes he is slowly becoming more libertarian, apparently.

Temple Grandin (re manners and proper social conduct being "beaten" into you despite a "learning disability"):
On this episode, Rick's friend Steve (who is a tattoo artist) comes on to talk about what kinds of tattoos people get, some of the work he has done, how to do your research (for safe inks) and more.

Adam's friend Tim comes on the show to talk about how he ended up with custody of his children, what he learned about family law that you should know, and we talk about how to empower your kid to learn on their own and deal with bullying.

Well, this one was a doozy. Not only did we clock in at 2 hours, but we covered a lot of heavy subject matter as well as making a ton of really offensive and inappropriate jokes along the way.
Zubin returns to the podcast for a 4 way panel discussion about joining the army, things that are offensive, treason, rape, dealing with victims, intelligence and finding humour in the mundane.

More "make you think" talk this week (with some silliness mixed in).
Rick rants about his idiot ex-landlord and wonders whether or not he'll be in his current apartment for much longer, we talk about how messed up society can be and if we can actually fix it, we talk about music briefly and then we talk about Euthanasia and letting people go instead of making them suffer.
This one is a real barn burner! We skype in a listener/fan from Israel (who is quite witty and well spoken) to talk about his country and the Middle East from a local perspective. Then Rick's girlfriend Meka joins the conversation and we talk about Rick's apartment being overrun by Squirrels, Adam's near death experience, and then a good long chat about proper word use (ie with "rape"), and the perils of sexism to both sides of the gender gap.
Jonathan, our Israel listener, tells us we are now on Stitcher. I never submitted us, so they added us of their own accord. While this is good for more exposure, I decided NOT to submit us to their service previously due to the complaints I have heard that they basically steal potential revenue from podcasts for themselves (not to mention they grab episodes from your feed and re-upload them to their own servers to steal traffic). This is how Chris Hardwick described it, at least.
Why I put in a Trigger Warning before we started talking about the word "rape".

Here is the direct link to our RSS feed for you iTunes people - no idea when or if we'll get back on iTunes so this is your best bet. I recommend googling "how to manually subscribe to a podcast in iTunes" and use this URL. It's really easy, I promise.
Rick's old friend (and singer from the band The Undergods) stops by to talk about the old days, naming bands, being couthless, destroying bridges and Adam takes his leash powers too far for Rick.
The show is as always available on soundcloud as well as iTunes. Follow Rick and I on twitter or Facebook.com/ShitRickSaysPodcast
Oh, and if you've never heard it, go and check out the album "Letters from Chutney" by The Rainbow Butt Monkeys (aka Finger Eleven before they changed their name). It is a really good album, despite the ridiculous name.
Andy (from the Apocalypse Episode) is back, joining Rick and Adam to talk about a new topic - Why more and more men are opting out of marriage, and why the three of us are not in favour of tying the knot either.
Rick mentioned studies that he read, but didn't give me any links, so you'll just have to do your own googling on that one.
